Wet stone polisher/grinder. This unit features a powerful 800W double insulated motor. A variable speed dial located at the rear of the machine allows to smoothly raise and lower the speed from 500rpm-4500rpm, this means it can be adjusted to use both diamond pads and stock removal tools.

This unit also features a quick connect, brass coupling and corresponding female connector and water line. Everything you need to hook into standard garden hose is included in the package. It also includes bail handle (D handle), wrench, extra carbon brushes and a 360° adjustable safety guard with integrated rubber splash skirt.

At high speed:
This is the ideal tool for fast stock removal using diamond grinding wheels, zero tolerance wheels, diamond edge profile wheels, finger bits and diamond hole saws.

At low speed:
This is optimal for polishing with diamond polishing pads. One of the most apparent features of a wet polisher that differs from a standard grinder is the water system. Our wet polisher delivers water from any faucet or garden hose into a water valve located on the top of the grinder head. The water is then directed into a hole that runs vertically through the spindle shaft and exits directly into the centre of the pad or diamond tool and is forced outwards cooling the pad or diamond tool and lubricating the grinding or polishing surface.

Speed is another important difference. Standard single speed grinders rotate at speeds of 10,000rpm or more whiile wet polishers commonly only have RPM range of only 300-4000. Wet polishers are most commonly used in conjuction with diamond polishing pads, these diamond pads should never be run at RPM ofover 5000. Operating diamond polishing pads are extreme RPM can cause the pad to seperate from the holder and be propelled at high speeds causing injury. The bonding agent, the material used to hold the diamonds in place, used in most diamond polishing pads in resin, extreme heat caused by high RPM or lack of water will cause the resin to become unstable or even melt leaving streaks of melted resin on the polishing surface.

Using water with an electrical tool requires the use of GFCI. This device is a circuit breaker that senses electrical surge and cuts power off to tool preventing electrical shock to the user. Your item includes this GFCI circuit breaker.

Also common on wet polishers is the bail handle at the top of the machine, this makes constant polishing more comfortable for the user as well as allows the user to apply constant even pressure to the grinding head.

This unit is built according to Australian standards and has both the GFCI device and the bail handle. Also has the normal household electricity plug (10 amp- 3 pin).

Please note, polishing/grinding wheels, lock-nut & spacer are not included! Those will need to be purchased seperately from your local hardware store. Both Bunnings and Mitre-10 have them (Mitre-10 is few dollars cheaper and they roughly cost AD$15.00)

Please be advised that we now stock and sell 4" Double row wheels to suit this item. These double row discs/wheels are $59.00. "Free delivery when ordered with your item or +$9.00 delivery if purchased seperately". If interested ask us how to purchase a set.

You will get one valve and one hose. Hose has two connectors. Also included with this unit are a bail handle (D handle), wrench, extra carbon brushes and 360° adjustable safety guard with integrated rubber splash skirt.
