1 X Pair Universal Gas Struts 800N 370mm Extended Length 14mm/28mm Rod/Cylinder

You are purchasing a brand new, heavy duty, 1 x pair of gas struts. Designed for assisted lifting and provides controlled movement for a range of automotive and industrial purposes. The most common use is to provide control over the opening movement of heavy and potentially dangerous equipment from falling on your head such as bonnets, boots, canopies, flexiglass, doors, toolboxes, caravans etc. These gas struts are recommended for use with items around 80kg or 160kg. For example, if your car boot/bonnet is around 80Kg use 1 strut ONLY. If it weighs around 160kg use both struts (one on each side).

Do's

• If gas struts are to be stored prior to use, the strut should be stored shaft down to lubricate the seal.
• Do ensure that the end fittings are in line so that side load forces are not applied as a result of misalignment.
• Caravan pop top gas struts should be replaced 4 at a time.
• Ensure the gas strut's end fittings are fully screwed home.
• Where ball joints are used ensure the ball stud is flush with the surface and tightened.

Don'ts

• Do not scratch, dent, chip, bend or paint the rod.
• Do not puncture or incinerate.
• Do not lubricate or treat the gas strut in any way.
• Do not replace 1 gas strut of a pair.
• Do not weld replacement ends on gas struts
